VigilAI detects AI-generated voices, deepfake video calls, and voice-cloned audio in real-time — before scammers can trick you. Free, private, no install, no account needed.
Built with MFCC spectral analysis, MediaPipe facial tracking & Fourier pixel analysis. Results in <5 seconds.
// the threat is real
AI-generated voices and deepfake video have become the fastest-growing tools of fraud, identity theft, and misinformation worldwide. VigilAI was built specifically to fight back — free for everyone.
Criminals clone a family member's voice using just 3 seconds of audio, then call you pretending to be them in an emergency. VigilAI's MFCC spectral analysis detects the unnatural acoustic signature AI cloning leaves behind — instantly.
Deepfake technology lets scammers appear as your CEO, bank manager, or government official on a live video call. VigilAI's webcam liveness check tracks 468 facial landmarks and detects the subtle jitter and pixel artifacts deepfake masks always produce.
Automated AI voice scam calls have surged 1200% since 2023. They sound indistinguishable from real humans. VigilAI lets you record any suspicious call and get a verdict in under 5 seconds — completely private, nothing leaves your device.
Banks and financial institutions lose billions annually to deepfake-enabled identity fraud. VigilAI brings enterprise-grade liveness and voice verification to every individual — completely free. Verify before you transfer.
Deepfake videos of politicians, celebrities, and public figures spread misinformation at scale. Upload any video to VigilAI and our Fourier pixel analysis and biological blink detection will tell you if it is AI-generated.
Unlike enterprise deepfake tools that upload your data to their servers, VigilAI processes everything locally in your browser. Your audio, video, and identity never leave your device. Zero data retention, zero risk.
// under the hood
VigilAI is built on the same signal-processing and computer-vision technologies used by enterprise security firms — made free and accessible by Abhishek Kumar.
Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCCs) are the gold standard for audio fingerprinting. VigilAI extracts 40 MFCC coefficients from your audio and measures their variance. Human voices have natural, irregular spectral variation. AI-synthesized voices — regardless of how good the model is — produce unnaturally uniform, low-variance MFCC patterns that VigilAI catches immediately.
Google's MediaPipe maps 468 precise landmarks across the human face every frame. VigilAI uses this to measure biological blink rate (humans blink every 4–6 seconds; deepfakes rarely do), facial micro-jitter patterns on the nose bridge, and eye aspect ratio changes. AI-generated faces fail these biological checks consistently.
Real photographs and videos contain natural high-frequency pixel noise — grain, micro-texture, and subtle imperfections. AI-generated faces and deepfake masks are statistically "too smooth" — they lack this high-frequency data. VigilAI applies a 2D Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) to analyse spectral energy distribution across pixel space, catching this smoothness signature every time.
// detection engine
Three independent signal layers cross-verify each other — a single suspicious result triggers the alert.
Extracts 40 MFCC coefficients from audio. AI voices have unnaturally low spectral variance — we catch that instantly.
Tracks 468 facial landmarks via MediaPipe. Deepfakes rarely blink naturally — our model checks eye aspect ratio across every frame.
Deepfake masks "shimmy" slightly. We track nose bridge movement variance and Fourier spectral energy — both giveaways of generation artifacts.
// capabilities
Every detection module targets the specific artifacts that AI generation leaves behind — making VigilAI the most thorough free deepfake checker available.
Record directly from your microphone during a suspicious call. Analyze in real-time as it happens.
Audio · MFCCUpload any .wav or .mp3 audio — or .mp4 / .mov video — for a deep-scan verdict with confidence score.
WAV · MP3 · MP4One-click live webcam scan. The AI monitors 468 facial landmarks across every frame.
MediaPipe · 468 ptsReal humans blink. Deepfakes don't — at least not naturally. We check eye aspect ratio frame by frame.
Biological SignalAI-generated faces are too smooth. We use 2D FFT to detect missing high-frequency pixel data.
Spectral · DFTThree detection layers cross-verify every signal. One red flag is enough. Results in under 5 seconds.

VigilAI is a free, browser-based deepfake and AI voice fraud detection platform. It was created to give ordinary people the same fraud-detection capabilities that large organisations have — at zero cost.
As deepfake technology becomes cheaper and accessible to bad actors, so must the defences. VigilAI runs three independent detection layers simultaneously and delivers a verdict in under 5 seconds — with no data ever leaving your device.
Founded in 2026 by Abhishek Kumar, an Indian developer driven by a simple idea: the tools to fight AI fraud should be as accessible as the AI fraud itself. VigilAI is built entirely with open-source technology — Python, LibROSA, MediaPipe, OpenCV, and Streamlit — and is free to use worldwide.
Mission: Make AI-powered deepfake detection and voice verification instantly accessible to anyone on earth — free, private, and requiring zero technical knowledge to use.
Founder · Lead Developer · VigilAI
Abhishek Kumar is an Indian developer and the sole founder and creator of VigilAI. Driven by the rapid rise of AI-generated scam calls and deepfake video fraud targeting everyday people, he built VigilAI from scratch — combining Python, LibROSA, MediaPipe, and OpenCV into a single accessible, free tool. His goal: put real, enterprise-grade deepfake detection in the hands of anyone with a web browser, anywhere in the world.

VigilAI is a free, real-time deepfake and AI voice detection tool at vigilai.online. It uses three analysis layers — MFCC spectral fingerprinting, MediaPipe facial landmark tracking, and Fourier pixel analysis — to detect whether audio or video is AI-generated. No install or account required.
Yes — VigilAI is completely free. No subscription, no login, no installation. Visit vigilai.online and launch the detection app.
VigilAI runs three simultaneous checks: MFCC Voice Fingerprinting (AI voices have unnaturally uniform spectral patterns), Biological Blink Detection (deepfake faces rarely blink naturally), and Fourier Pixel & Jitter Analysis (AI video has missing high-frequency pixel data and facial "shimmy"). One suspicious signal triggers a warning.
Yes. VigilAI's MFCC spectral analysis detects the acoustic signatures of AI voice synthesis and voice cloning. Test a live mic recording or upload a WAV or MP3 file.
Abhishek Kumar built VigilAI after seeing the rapid rise of AI-generated scam calls and deepfake video fraud. He wanted to make real, enterprise-grade deepfake detection accessible to everyone — completely free of charge.
MFCC stands for Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients — a mathematical representation of the short-term power spectrum of sound. Human voices have natural, varied MFCC patterns due to real vocal chord movement. AI-generated and cloned voices produce unnaturally uniform, low-variance MFCC patterns that are invisible to the human ear but clearly detectable by VigilAI's algorithm. VigilAI extracts 40 MFCC coefficients and flags any audio with suspiciously low variance.
Yes. During any suspicious video call on WhatsApp, Zoom, Google Meet, or any platform, you can use VigilAI's live microphone recording to capture and analyze audio in real-time. For video, use the webcam liveness check to simultaneously run facial analysis while on the call. VigilAI will alert you within 5 seconds if signals of AI generation are detected.
Most deepfake detectors require you to upload files to their servers (risking your privacy), cost money, or only analyze video without audio. VigilAI is the only free, fully browser-based tool that simultaneously analyzes voice (MFCC), face (MediaPipe landmarks), and pixel (Fourier analysis) — all processed locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded. No account. No cost. Ever.
Yes. VigilAI's MFCC spectral analysis works on any language. The AI voice detection algorithms analyze acoustic patterns — not words — so they work equally well on Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, English, or any other language. Voice cloning artifacts are language-independent.
VigilAI is currently a free public tool available at vigilai.online and vigilaionline.streamlit.app. For questions about the code or potential collaboration, contact Abhishek Kumar at abhishek@vigilai.online or reach out on X @vigilai_x or Instagram @cdrnine.png.
VigilAI works in all modern browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari (macOS and iOS), and Brave. For best performance with the live microphone and webcam features, use Chrome or Edge. No plugins or extensions are required.
VigilAI is optimized for real-time audio and video detection. For static AI-generated images, the Fourier pixel analysis layer can be applied, but the biological blink detection requires video. For best results with still images, use the file upload feature with a short video clip rather than a single frame.
